Stamped Driveway

Concrete Driveway Installation

For most luxury homes a concrete driveway can often become a focal point or tie in the entire exterior design of your home. At DMRP we offer concrete driveways, asphalt driveways, interlocking paver driveways, and classic brick driveways.

Concrete Driveway Options

Although that doesn’t sound like many options, it really reflects dozens of driveway options within each category. For instance, concrete no longer just comes in simple plain grey. Concrete can now be applied as an acid stained concrete, concrete paving stones, concrete overlays, spray textures, stamped and colored concrete. Stamped concrete can even be made to look like brick or even stone driveways but with a more attractive price with the extended longevity that concrete offers.

Concrete Paver Driveways

Whether you call them interlocking pavers, concrete pavers, brick pavers or simply just pavers… they’re all basically the same when it comes to the the looks and installation process. But not all pavers are manufactured the same!Brick pavers are baked at extremely high temperatures and concrete or interlocking pavers are formed and dried in a controlled climate settings. However, while brick pavers, interlocking pavers and concrete pavers provide a solid driveway surface that mainly shed water off of the parking lot, permeable pavers allow water to penetrate into the soil or sub-grade beneath the pavers allowing much less water runoff. Permable paver driveways are much more environmentally friendly allowing less pollutants winding up into our rivers, creeks, streams and lakes.

Acid Stain Concrete Driveway

Stained concrete is available in a variety of rich colors that can add dimension and texture to your driveway. Paint creates a solid, opaque look that can easily chip and peel, while stains penetrate the concrete and can beautifully mimic natural stone, polished marble, and other materials. Water-based stains come in a broad spectrum of hues that can be mixed together to broaden your options. Acid-based stains are available in subtle earth tones and react chemically with the concrete to create mottled effects and variations in color for a completely unique look.

Popular stain colors that homeowners choose for their driveways generally comprise simple neutral tones, including:

  • Brown
  • Dark Walnut
  • Gray

The Benefits of a Stained Driveway

Along with a beautiful and varied look, stained concrete makes for a great investment, improving the overall look of your home to help increase its value at an affordable upfront cost. Stained concrete driveways are more durable and resistant to gouging, mold, and water damage. Plus, a concrete driveway stain can last for decades with minimal maintenance or replacement.

Concrete Driveway

Concrete is one of the most versatile building materials available today. Concrete driveways are extremely strong and can handle the weight of heavy vehicles for decades without skipping a beat. While asphalt driveways are often cheaper, concrete driveways are likely to last longer and require less maintenance. Asphalt driveways are sometimes recommended in regions where freezing temperatures are common (due mostly to the fact that asphalt driveways are more flexible and less likely to crack because of frost heave); however, when properly installed, concrete driveways can hold up well under just about anything Mother Nature can dish out. Driveways aren’t the only place where concrete has proved useful! Today, concrete flooring is one of the most desirable materials on the market. Concrete flooring is not only more durable than just about any other flooring material, when polished, stained, or stamped, it is also one of the most attractive.
